I see this IH for sale, the one I posted on a trailer the other day is in the same area, perhaps they have a few and are selling up. I like this one, I haven’t stopped to check the price since there is no way I can get another vehicle. The last one there is a Hyundai, I had to slow down and read the back, I had no idea what it was. I guess the rare Kia Rondo wagon is similar, I saw one of those once.

We try to get around, we are a bit spoiled for places to walk/hike . I like where I grew up but I kind of like this climate more long term.

does the bridge really “hum” now with the new railings they put on it? Nice, clean 914.

I love northern California. I assume you’ve made it to Muir Woods and Muir Beach? If you haven’t yet been to Yosemite and Sequoia, I highly recommend both.

Alternative suggestion: buy the Scout, I’ll store it for you, and you can visit it anytime.
I’d be the perfect option for a caretaker. I’m only 25 minutes away from these guys.

I live very close to Muir but dogs are banned, Tennessee valley is for horses and people so no dogs there either. I tend to go to Fort Cronkhite. The dog issue is actually a huge problem, a lot of places we want go don’t allow them, like every good park in Utah etc...

Ah, bummer.
Still, gotta get to Muir. S/he’ll forgive you.

I haven’t crossed it since that was completed, I don’t go to work anymore! It does from what I’m told by people.

Those places would probably be better off banning the humans.......

Don’t tempt me. I do know a place in Wyoming that stockpiled IH stuff, I think it’s WY. They make a lot more spares for them now. It would be a good vehicle for me.... sigh.

I went there years ago when I was here in the 90's. My mom knew someone with a house in Muir Beach. It’s nice there but there are places we can go.

There’s just
something about the black sand there, and the cool
rock outcrops (I’m a rock hound). Looks like Cronkhite is similar.

Cron has pebbles and carnelians that we hunt for. We had enough black sand spots in Hawaii cuz! I love the pebbles at Cronkhite and we can sirf there too, dogs allowed etc.. It’s the perfect place for me.

I’ve camped with my dogs (medium and large pitbulls) in Zion, Arches, Bryce Canyon, GS-Escalante as well as some other NFs in Utah? What park are you looking to visit?

Well as far as trails they all say no dogs at Zion etc.. except usually one in a crappy place. They may be allowed at a campsite but we want to go out and see the place on trails.

Ah, fantastic.

Yeah, I usually stay away from the crowded trails. Zion was too crowded for me to have any fun.

The place I linked to has a small junkyard attached to it of nothing but IH products. The guy that started it worked at the factory in Springfield, Ohio where some of the vehicles were built before the light duty line was shut down.

That Hyundai in your pic is 1st-gen North American-spec Elantra Touring...maybe you didn’t get them in the US, but we had them in Canada?
It’s a renamed, North-Americanized version of the i30cw (which is the Euro Estate/Wagon version)
